Backyard!

For the past few weeks, we've been working on our backyard! We are eager to have a backyard oasis to escape to (even if we can hear the Broken Arrow Expressway traffic), plus, it will keep our puppy pal, Marley, contained and prevent him from chasing other neighborhood folk down the street.
Here's the kids' big outside toy. You can hardly see it, but their zip line goes from over the rock wall...

In the 3 trees pictured here, we'll be putting in a tree house before too long...the kids can't wait!

In this corner of the yard, we'll be doing an outdoor kitchen, complete with a grill and a bar to sit at while one of us cooks.

We're eager to finish our backyard, as well as the rest of the house! Too many plans and ideas, not enough time or funds to get it all done as quickly as I want to get it done!

The proud mother in me can't help but share the following picture...my little future author, Luke, wrote his first book! I'm beaming with excitement and joy over his creative little endeavor! I can't wait to read more of his writing, and soon, whenever he gets this keyboard typing thing down, I'm sure he'll have a blog of his own before we know it!
