A Love Affair...

Let me first preface this by saying that I am not being compensated in any way for writing this blog. Unless the CEO of Hoover is trolling mommy blogs and decides to send me a coupon or something, there's nothing in this for me.

A year ago, my husband went out and bought me a new vacuum cleaner. I will not divulge anything specifically about this vacuum (I'll just say it rhymes with Whistle...) except to say that it only worked well for about a month, which really is a testament to what a lousy vacuum cleaner it was because honestly I don't use it that often. For roughly 10 months, I did everything I could to make the darn thing work...changed the belts...changed the filters...cleaned the canister out after using it for only a few minutes... Finally I broke down and decided to buy another one. I read some reviews (hey, 8 out of 9 folks on Walmart.com can't be wrong, right?) and went to pick it up. When I saw it in the store, I thought it looked like a toy. I hesitated for a moment, decided I've never had anything against toys, and bought it. When I got it home and used it for the first time, it was fantastic! The dirt and dust in my carpet actually came up into the vacuum! It worked way better than even the first time I used "that other" vacuum that cost us over three times as much! It has a super easy to clean canister and even easier to clean filter. Just the necessary attachments, one button for power, and you pull back on the handle to use it. And the one feature that made me almost not buy it is the one thing I love the most now! It has a thin stick for a handle, which retracts for easy storage AND for shorter folks (aka The KIDS!) to be able to use it easily. Anything that promotes an increase in child labor around here is OK by me. Plus, we all love it so much the carpet gets vacuumed even more frequently now!

So, if you are in the market for a vacuum, try the Hoover Nano Light Upright Compact Vacuum. It gets two thumbs up from this busy mom.

I have that vacuum for the hard woods and it is good but the best vacuum by far is the Dyson!

Yeah...but I can't bring myself to spend more on a vacuum than I did on my washing machine...not yet anyway.

Hopefully we won't have carpet much longer... ;)
