Perfect Pairings - Pot Pie

My little Pot Pie is growing so big! It doesn't seem like it is possible that the little baby we brought home back in 2004 will be turning 7 years old this week! He's such a hilarious little guy, and very smart and so fun to be around. I look forward to whatever God has laid out for him in the future. The bible verses I picked are the ones he was given when he was dedicated at our church.

Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, of good report, any virtue, or praise, think on these things. -- Phillipians 4:8

The God of peace...make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight. -- Hebrews 13:20-21

My clone. The first thing most people notice is his red hair and beautiful blue eyes. He often stands out in a crowd, and he loves to be the center of attention. He is analytical, as well as very literal; but even still he has a strong faith in the Lord that I find extremely heartwarming and I couldn't ask for a better experience than going through all of his firsts with him.

My over-achiever. Everything comes easy to him, whether it be school, relationships, or anything else he tries. He wants to be a scientist when he grows up. He is so incredibly caring and loving, and he is always concerned for other people's feelings. I look forward to every day with him.

My miracle. He entered the world 4 months too soon, weighing 1 pound, 6 ounces, and he surpassed all the odds and expectations by leaving the hospital and growing and becoming a healthy little boy. He has struggled with a speech delay, which is quickly becoming a non-issue, and he does have vision problems that will most likely turn into a permanent disability, but he has a great attitude, and he loves everyone he meets, and they love him. His smile can light up a room. He loves to make people laugh. When I hear him speak, or watch him play, or hold him close, I can't help but thank God over and over for the privilege of him being in my life.
