Polite Police and the Terrible Two's vs. the Recovering Caffeine Addict

Everyday Luke does something that just amazes me. Yesterday when I picked him up from school, as I began to open the door, he stopped me and said "No, mommy, I'll open the door. Boys are supposed to open doors for girls." I was stunned! I do try to impress many rules about being polite onto them, but that is not one of them. I don't know if he learned it from watching his daddy or if they are learning that at school, but it made me so happy! He really is turning into a big boy...now if only I could get him to control his urge to be the center of attention when we have company over...

And then there's Beau, who's new favorite word is "NO!". He has really been testing his boundaries lately. He is constantly acting up at the dinner table and sometimes just being downright mean to Luke. Its a battle to get him to stop and to get Luke not to retaliate. I'm just trying very hard to be patient, which is difficult because I'm facing my own issues with having given up Pepsi recently. I knew it was a step I had to take towards a healthier me, but its also caused me to feel very run down and a little inpatient, but I'm working on it, and I know I will feel better in the long run. Whether I'll still be happily married and on the outside of a mental institution remains to be seen. HA!

You have very cute children!

It's cool seeing how your children learn and assimilate their experiences into their lives. I have three that are a little bit older than yours and they are a wonder to watch!

You are doing great on the Pepsi!! Keep up the good work.

AHH phases and stages. As soon as Beau gets out of this phase, Luke will start an annoying phase, or Jackson. It never ends, just ebbs and flows but the joy of it all always prevails!

Love you! Kelly
